Namco has announced that it plans to release Dead to Rights for the Xbox. Dead to Rights follows the exploits of Jack Slate, a fugitive cop who has been framed for murder. Slate may dive, roll, punch, kick, and disarm enemies. In addition to the primary single-player experience, Dead to Rights will also feature minigames and a slow motion gameplay mechanic. Namco stated that Dead to Rights will make use of pixel shading for the characters in the game, 16:9 anamorphic wide screen support, and Dolby Digital sound support to make use of the Xbox's unique capabilities.

"To create an experience with both the dramatic tension and super-charged action of Hollywood blockbuster films, a compelling hero is essential. Jack Slate is a man who can get the job done and look good doing it. With a unique and diverse set of intuitive gameplay mechanics inspired by the best moments in action film history, Dead to Rights surrounds the player with intense action and style", says producer Andre Emerson.

The Xbox version of Dead to Rights is scheduled for release this summer.
