Apparently the PC version will be locked at 30 fps. No thanks.

That's good. At least now I can safe up for a gaming PC to play this game. Even if it doesn't come to the PS4 it's good for everyone to have a choice of platform to play this game on other then the Xbox One. I'm still not convinced that Microsoft won't go back and bring back all the features they got rid of.

Finally a Dead Rising game I might be able to get into!  I played the original on 360 and it was fun fiddling around and killing zombies in all the fun ways, but the time constraint thing absolutely killed the game for me.  Dead Rising 2 I bought on PC and, while better than the first, I couldn't get into.

I eventually used a trainer that allowed you to stop time and have no breaking weapons.  I beat the game using that, but that isn't really the experience I wanted. I've been keeping tabs on this game and waiting for it to come to pc for awhile now.  I've watched tons of videos and it seems way more up my alley than the previous two.

OS requirements is still Windows, so it's still a Microsoft exclusive…

sony fanboys cannot fall into temptation to get this game on PC, for it is for a Microsoft platform/OS…

on the other hand, although they all bashed X1 and DR3, we all know they all wanted to play the crap out of DR3, and this is great news for all the PS4 fanboys that shouted hatred but were jealous deep inside… the game is great fun and now everyone (with at least a decent PC) can enjoy it!

MS was serious when they said they would focus more on PC

At least it's not going to PS4 also so it still has console exclusivity and you know the PC version will be bangin at high crisp resolutions without any of the slowdown that we saw on Xbox One version

A game that's crazy as it is,combine it with the awesomeness of PC mods and then....

It ran like crap on the Xbox One so no need to complain about the high specs. At least they didn't ask for an i7.

Hahaha - bone's best exclusive. It's as if they don't want me to buy that console eventually

Oh Oh, I'm below minimum requirement. I'm dead!

very unexpected :/ I wonder why capcom never released the very first dead rising on the PC.

Lol, so much of dat exclusivity. Does the Xbox One have any good exclusives at this point?

I will pick this up in the near future.

Is anybody really surprised that a sequal in a multiplatform series is, well, multiplatform? I called it when it was first announced as an "exclusive".

Looking at the specs you need at least a $900 pc to run it compared to a $500 Xbox One, to get it 1080p/60fps maxed out you need at least $1200+, I might pick it up on steam for my rig but since I have 1000G on this game I might not even bother.

I knew this would happen.  Glad it did. :)

Dead rising 3 was the best launch title of the next gen consoles PC gamers who are a fan of zombie games or the Dead rising series in general will like this game, it's much much better than the 2nd game.

Titanfall and Dead rising coming to the PS4.

Both are big 3rd party companies EA and Capcom.  By comparing to the success of Watch Dogs, it is likely that Dead Rising 3 likely lost $50 million dollars in lost revenue, and Titanfall lost about $250-300 million dollars in lost revenue by not releasing for the PS4.

EA initially denied Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 would come out for PS3.  Plant vs Zombies Garden Warfare is coming for PS4 soon.  Capcom on the other hand needs all the revenues they can get.

@Ahiru-San I say it was the best trailer at E3 last year... hands down.  But I still sat patiently and waited for the inevitable PC version.  Your fanboy is showing, it is not an exclusive.

R4gn4r0k
R4gn4r0k

@Ahiru-San No, it's not an exclusive anymore as it's on multiple platforms.

Nor is TLOU an exclusive anymore because it will be on multiple platforms, even if they are both playstation platforms.

@lonesamurai1 That won't stop the playstation fans with a gaming pc from playing it and they get to play a decent version not that mess that was released for xbox one (i have that version not pleased with it at all)

Warlord_Irochi

@gamefreak215jd People like who keeps saying that never saw the game runing on the One. Its runs ok for a console release tittle and its easy for everyone to notice.

Warlord_Irochi

@starhowl why would then when they are the ones distributing the game?
Please, document yourself before making a joke.

Warlord_Irochi
Warlord_Irochi

@Printul_Noptii Not that much! MS said they would focus more than before on PC gaming. I would not be surprised if Quantum Break would follow the same road along every MS distributed tittle.

Ahiru-San

@Daian well, since both systems (PC and X1) are running Windows, where's the "multiplatform" here?

mkeezay22
mkeezay22

LOL $900, you can get an i3 with a motherboard for under $200 and an entry level GPU for $150, that's most of your components right there, grab a cheap case and a couple sticks of ram and you're set for way under $900, it may not be a beast but it's still more powerful than an X1.

PS I would spend the extra for an i5 at least

Daian
Daian

X1 version is 720p 30FPS (that drops a lot), u can get that with a 500$ PC.

jayjay444
jayjay444

@Shango4 The difference being Ms funded Dead rising 3 not capcom it won't come to PS4 unless capcom compensate MS.

@pelvist @vegard1985 “...we're not gonna stop you from uncapping the framerate and seeing what your hardware can really do with this game, but we can't guarantee the experience because we just don't really know what's gonna happen; you might see some weird stuff with physics, some weird stuff with zombies – but if you want to mess with it and see what you can see, we'll totally let you do that.”

@R4gn4r0k @Ahiru-San The Last of Us isn't a PlayStation 3 exclusive but it is still going to be a PlayStation exclusive.  Dead Rising 3 will no longer be a Xbox exclusive because people with computers will be able to play it.

pelvist

@dreamcast900 Good, I didnt like DR2 much. I might consider getting DR3 when its on sale then.

danixdefcon5

@Ahiru-San @aquoon_0nly not only has it happened before, the two cases I can pick out of recent gaming history are both from Capcom. Resident Evil: Code Veronica was a DreamCast exclusive, only for Capcom to slap an extra X on the title and release that one for PS2. Resident Evil 4 was a GameCube exclusive, only to have the PS2 version announced shortly before the GC release. So either they will go on announcing a PS4 version, or they'll tweak two or three things and pull off the Street Fighter 2 naming machine to slap some ludicrous title modifier like "Super Dead Rising 3: World Championship Edition". But it'll probably happen.

pelvist
pelvist

@Ahiru-San @aquoon_0nly Games can have more than one publisher for different platforms, what ties do Capcom have to Microsoft to prevent others from publishing a PS4 version of DR3? As far as I am aware the PC version is published by Capcom themselves.

@Warlord_Irochi My most recent PC was $538 new.  It took a few hours to put together and has been used every day for the last 3 months.  It runs most if not all of the current games better than the new consoles in terms of frame rate, graphic fidelity and resolution.  So far, the only problem I have encountered has been Watch_Dogs.  I found some tweaks that helped, but I can't handle the frame rate dropping down to 30 out of the blue for no reason.  I am waiting for those clowns to put out the patch so I can roam the mean streets of Chicago.

You can see my test videos and frame rates here:  https://www.youtube.com/user/crateaday/videos

@mkeezay22 Again: In a year you would require an update. XOne would not.
For PC gaming to get the result every fanboy brags about you require time, dedication and money. A fact that nobody acknowledges but a Fact nonetheless.

@pelvist @Ahiru-San @aquoon_0nly Yeah, Borderlands 2 for PlayStation Vita is published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Ahiru-San

@robbiejones @jayjay444 grats on being a real gamer. I  mean, not a PS4 fanboy like @Shango4 that urges to play X1 games by any means necessary on his PS4.

you actually stated the games are really fun. bravo.

@chaoticassault Whole new world of gaming son because your shackles have been removed, $1700 for a gaming laptop, bet the hardware is old already.
