Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition set to cure Australia

Not content with bringing just one special edition of Dead Rising 2 to Australia on September 30, Capcom's Australian distributors have announced that they'll also release a second limited edition of the game, titled Dead Rising 2 Zombrex Edition.

The Zombrex Edition comes with a price tag of A$119.95 ($109) and includes a special-edition Zombrex case, a making-of-the-game DVD, and a special Zombrex syringe pen. Purchasers will also get additional items depending on which retailer they preorder from. EB Games customers will receive a code to download the Ninja Costume DLC pack, which gives protagonist Chuck Greene a ninja outfit. They'll also get new abilities and attacks. GAME, on the other hand, is giving away a 9.5-inch zombie action figure, while JB Hi-Fi is offering PS3 owners a PlayStation 3 XMB theme and Xbox 360 owners Avatar clothing items.

In the Dead Rising universe, Zombrex is a suppressant that can be used to hold off the zombie infection and stop victims from being turned. Dead Rising 2 takes place in Fortune City and tells the story of survivor Chuck Greene fighting off hordes of zombies while trying to earn enough Zombrex to save his daughter from turning into a brain-eating corpse.
