As detailed in by Double Fine founder Tim Schafer, the version available on GoG will be 10 percent off for those who pre-order. It is also said to be DRM-free and will includes bonus wallpapers.

"Two young fellows made a point-and-click graphic adventure game called Day of the Tentacle, and I hear it was very good," Schafer says in the video. "But you don't have to just take my word for it, you can now play it.

"It has been remastered. The art looks incredible, but we also maintained the old art and you can play either way that you want, with the old or new art, and the old art with the new interface. You can listen to all the developer commentary we added, and you can look at the concept art, and we took away all the compression, and it's just great. It's crazy."

Double Fine's remastered edition of Day of the Tentacle will also launch on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 in March 2016. A more specific release date for these platforms has not yet been announced.
