Day of Defeat 2.0 released

Valve Software has announced that Day of Defeat 2.0 is now available. The latest version of the popular World War II Half-Life mod features 10 new maps, a new machine gunner character class, and all-new weapon models. The mod was one of several showcased at 3rd Annual Half-Life MOD Expo in November.

Day of Defeat is a multiplayer total conversion of Half-Life set in Western Europe during World War II. Players assume the role of one of five types of Axis or Allied soldiers, and they work with their team to complete various objectives, such as capturing an enemy area, defending a beach, or destroying enemy forces.
