Dave Mirra 2 ships for the Xbox

Acclaim has announced that it has shipped Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 for the Microsoft Xbox. The game will be available at retailers nationwide this weekend. The game will be the company's first title for Microsoft's recently launched console. The Xbox version features 10 levels, including two new levels in Venice, Italy, and Greenville, North Carolina.

"Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 set the benchmark for BMX action on the next-generation platforms and is one of the strongest-performing brands in the action sports category today," said Steve Felsen, senior director of brand management at Acclaim. "Featuring unparalleled gameplay, dynamic graphics, and two additional exclusive levels, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 is the perfect title for Acclaim to kick off its Xbox lineup."

The game's soundtrack features such high-profile artists as Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, The Cult, A Tribe Called Quest, and Gang Starr. It carries a suggested retail price of $49.99.
