DarkSpace upgrade, special offer
Playnet and Palestar announce a major upgrade for their online space game.
Palestar and Playnet.com have announced a major upgrade for DarkSpace, their massively multiplayer online space game. The version 1.4 upgrade adds a number of new features to the game, including new technology trees for planets, new planet management systems, and an upgraded user interface.
To help launch the new upgrade, the companies have announced a special offer. For a limited time, account holders of World War II Online, Playnet's online war simulation, can subscribe to DarkSpace for $3.99 per month for three months. This offer is available until April 21. For more information, visit the World War II Online Web site.
DarkSpace, which was launched in December, is set in a sci-fi universe filled with warring factions. Players begin the game in one of three main factions as an ensign flying a small spacecraft, and they can eventually work their way up the ranks to a grand admiral in charge of a huge capital ship.
