THQ Nordic announced today that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, the remaster of the original Darksiders, will not launch on October 25 as previously announced.

The publisher confirmed that the game has been delayed to November 22 for physical and digital copies on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Warmastered Edition will launch that date digitally for Wii U, with a physical version to follow "at a later stage." Additionally, the PC edition will launch on November 29.

As detailed previously, the $20 Warmastered Edition aims to improve upon the original 2010 action/adventure game in a number of ways. First, it will run at native 1080p on consoles. It also hits 60 frames per second on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, although the Wii U version is limited to 30 frames per second. Players can also expect better shadow rendering quality and new post-processing effects, among other improvements.

In August, Nordic Games announced that it had rebranded itself as THQ Nordic. Nordic Games acquired a number of THQ franchises during the company's bankruptcy auction, including Darksiders, Red Faction, and MX vs. ATV.
