Dark Souls II PS3 beta test rescheduled for November

Network test to begin November 9 and run for three hours, space still available.

The next Dark Souls II PlayStation 3 network test will take place starting November 9, Namco Bandai announced today on Facebook. This beta test was supposed to begin on Sunday, October 27, but was delayed due to "unforeseen issues."

The new beta period will begin at 11 p.m. PDT on November 9 and run through 2 a.m. PDT on November 10. All past Dark Souls II network test participants will be allowed into the new testing period, and there is still space to join the upcoming round, Namco said.

Players can downloaded the Dark Souls II beta client on the PlayStation Network by entering the code: 38QQ-8DNE-97AA.

Dark Souls II launches for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC in March 2014. The beta testing period has been announced only for PS3. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of Dark Souls II.

I won'T try the beta.  I don't want to spoil my fun.

The times are what they are because of a 13 hour time difference in Japan.

It would be great if the beta ran for like a week so everyone gets a chance to play.  It would also give a more accurate test since more people are going to be on during the day and not in the wee hours of the morning.  I don't know how many players they expect to be on so late at night/early in the morning.  I'll do it because it's my duty as a Dark Souls fan.

I'll be there, together with my Sorcerer. It sucked that I got kicked out of the server while I was about to get 4k souls last Sunday... I just hope this is not 7am again...

Yikes, a major title like this not supporting modern generation consoles is suicide. The game will die worse than anyone who plays it will.

Thank Jebus, there's a game like Dark Souls 2 coming to save use from very aggressive cancers like Call of Crappy, Battlefield of duty and  Assassin Crap.

I would've appreciated if they gave us extra time for the fk up, but it's hard to stay mad at anything Souls related.

@wookiegr The vast majority of people will be keeping their current consoles for a while. I'll be keeping my ps3 and getting a ps4. But i'll be getting dark souls on PC anyway.

@wookiegr You're kind right. The game may sell well, but, it wont be like the first one. I can play it, with a lot of MP interaction to this day, but for the 2, in a couple of months everyone will be playng One/4/U... Maybe i will get this for PC witch wont be "replaced"  anytime soon!

@M3o5nster It's a beta, there are supposed to be fk ups.

Also you aren't paying, you don't have the right to be angry in the first place.

@everson_rm I disagree with both of you. Demon's Souls was the first game in the Soul's series and is certainly not the last. DS was a PS3 exclusive, yet it sold very well; Dark Souls was the second game that came out and went multi-platform, it racked a lot of sales. Now there is a lot more souls fan's then there was before and it is a good idea to make it on current gen to optimize/fully use. Of course they will consider making it on next gen, but they are already optimizing it on PC which is a +1 from me.

Not when the screw up is them forgetting to put the required patch on the PSN. That's just asinine.

Additionally, there was no contact from Namco until 2 hours after the test should have started.

@chuckles471 @M3o5nster If anyone invites you to something then cancels it, not last minute, but hours after it was supposed to start, I think anyone has the "right" to be mad. It's one thing for the game to be buggy, it's another for them to not have it working at all for just one region.

Stand for nothing and you'll fall for anything... Even though some people act like they're too cool to complain, many good things happen because a select few people aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe is right.

With that said, Demon's Souls is in my top 3 games of all time... So don't confuse me with someone yelling, "I'm not buying the game anymore!" because of a failed network test. Good day.
