Into the Light novel set in Dark Souls universe; written by and illustrated by British comic book veterans.
Namco Bandai and From Software have announced a partnership with a pair of British comic book veterans for Dark Souls II: Into the Light, an all-new graphic novel set in the game's universe. It will be released in early January 2014, ahead of Dark Souls II.
No specific details about the Dark Souls II: Into the Light plot were announced, though Namco Bandai said the novel will offer an "extended experience to hardcore fans and newcomers."
Dark Souls II: Into the Light was written by Rob Williams (Ghost Rider, Amazing Spider-Man, Star Wars Tales) and newcomer Andi Ewington, the author of 45.
Art for Dark Souls II: Into the Light will be provided by Simon Coleby, whose credits includes art for Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper.
Dark Souls II launches on March 11, 2014 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, while a PC release date has not been confirmed.
A beta for the game will be available exclusively for PS3 players beginning tomorrow.
