Mythic Entertainment has announced that the housing market in Dark Age of Camelot has gotten off to a brisk start since the release of the Foundations expansion pack. More than 20,000 housing lots and homes have been purchased in the first six weeks, which Mythic points out is greater than the number of homes purchased in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington DC in the month of June.

"With 20,000 pieces of property sold in less than six weeks, Dark Age of Camelot players have flocked to purchase their very own houses," said Walter Yarbrough, content producer for Mythic. "From minstrel to mystic, the housing system of Foundations provides everyone the opportunity to own and furnish a very functional home, where commerce and comfort mix."

An initial batch of 36,000 housing lots was made available in June, and individual players and guilds can decorate their domiciles and outfit them with a variety of useful items. For more details, check out our previous coverage of Dark Age of Camelot and the Shrouded Isles expansion pack.
