Mythic Games' Arthurian online RPG is now entering beta testing.

Comments
Mythic Games has announced that Dark Age of Camelot, an online role-playing game set in the lands of King Arthur, is now in the first stage of closed beta testing. In Dark Age of Camelot, players can play as a character from the Briton, Celtic, or Norse realms, which have entered into conflict after King Arthur's death. Although the game allows beginning players to travel in relative safety in their own realm, player-vs.-player attacks are allowed when venturing into the lands of rival factions. This factional conflict is one of the game's distinctive elements, and is designed to encourage teams of players to coordinate raids. The game will use the NetImmerse engine, which also powered Mythic's Spellbinder and Red Orb's Prince of Persia 3D. The game is expected to ship early next year.
