Mythic Entertainment has announced that Dark Age of Camelot: Gold Edition is now shipping to stores. The new edition includes the original game, the Shrouded Isles expansion pack, the upcoming Foundations housing expansion, and a new 45-page beginner's guide. Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations is the first of three expansions planned for this year, and it will let players claim a housing lot, buy a deed for a specific house design, and furnish the house. Foundations is currently in beta testing and will be available to all subscribers free of charge when it's released later this month.

"We wanted to give new players a great new way to enter the world of Dark Age of Camelot," said Mark Jacobs, Mythic's CEO. "The combination of Dark Age of Camelot, Shrouded Isles, Foundations, and the new beginner's guide offers the perfect entry point to the game."

Dark Age of Camelot: Gold Edition will have a suggested retail price of $29.99, which includes 30 days of free online service. After the first month, there's a monthly subscription fee of $12.95. For more details, check out our previous coverage of Dark Age of Camelot and Shrouded Isles.
