The free housing expansion for Dark Age of Camelot is now available for beta testing.

Comments

Mythic Entertainment has released a beta version of the Dark Age of Camelot: Foundations expansion pack, which will allow individual players and guilds to own houses. The current beta test for Foundations is available only to those who own the Shrouded Isles expansion pack, but the housing expansion will be free to all players in its final version.

Foundations will let players buy housing lots and then build a house for themselves or for their guild. Houses not only provide players with a space of their own and an opportunity to show off their decorating skills, but they can also be outfitted with a variety of useful features, including vaults to store items, tools for crafting, and NPC merchants who can sell items at a small discount or sell items on consignment. Houses can be upgraded and sold, and as such will introduce a new element to the game's economy.

The Foundations installer is available for download from the link below. Much more detail on housing can be found on the game's official site. For more on Dark Age of Camelot, check out our previous coverage.
