Neverwinter's PS4 edition will be available to everyone; it does not require PlayStation Plus. By comparison, the already-available Xbox One version of the game does require Xbox Live Gold.

In a press release, Perfect World further explained that Neverwinter's PS4 edition comes with "optimized" controls that make use of the DualShock 4's touchpad and party chat.
