Konami of Europe has today announced that Dancing Stage MegaMix, which is the first game in the popular Dancing Stage series to be developed specifically for the PS2, will feature the strongest lineup of artists and tracks to date when it's released in May.

Dancing Stage Megamix will feature 10 licensed tracks in all, as well as more than 20 original tracks created by members of Konami's development studios. The licensed tracks that have been announced at this time are as follows:

Ms. Dynamite - "It Takes More"
Elvis vs. JXL - "A Little Less Conversation"
Kylie Minogue - "Love at First Sight"
The Sugababes - "Freak Like Me"
Christina Milian - "When You Look at Me"
The Cure - "Love Cats"

As with previous home versions of Dancing Stage, MegaMix will feature not only a straight conversion of the arcade game, but also options for players to practice with favorite tracks, master the basics in the tutorial mode, and keep track of how much energy they're burning when playing on a dance mat via a calorie counter.

Dancing Stage MegaMix is currently scheduled for release in Europe in May. No North American release has been confirmed at this time. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
