SAN FRANCISCO--Legend of Zorro: Swordplay is a puzzle game based on the upcoming film. In the game, you have to connect pipes from the left side of the screen to the right, where different types of blows are depicted. Lining up these blows will prompt an onscreen ersatz of Zorro to perform them, damaging his foe. Swordplay was fun and easy to pick up.

If you've every played Pipe Dreams, Zorro's gameplay will be self-explanatory. You must rotate sections of pipe to make finished lines. If you manage to make multiple lines simultaneously, or if you trigger a combo, you'll get a score bonus. Each time you make a line, the relevant piping will disappear from the screen, only to be replaced by new material from above. The match ends when Zorro either dies or defeats his foe.

While Swordplay is an unusual use of the franchise, it might have strong appeal for the casual mobile crowd. Antonio Banderas himself is known to enjoy the odd puzzle game when he's not slaying villains to preserve the honor of a woman he loves.
