Ubi Soft Entertainment has today announced that Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which is currently scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 later this month, will also be released on the Xbox in December. Currently in development at Genki, the game is largely combat-based and will allow players to fight as one of four characters from the 2000 movie of the same name.

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is one of the most innovative and exciting movies in years, and we've dedicated ourselves to capturing the incredible look and feel that made the film such an amazing hit," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubi Soft Entertainment. "With compelling characters, action-packed fighting sequences, and stunning environments, the game will feature the martial arts magic of this classic film."

It's not yet clear if the Xbox version of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will in any way differ from the PS2 version, but we'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, you might like to check out our previous coverage of the PS2 version.
