Core Design's Heath-Smith steps down

Eidos announces that Jeremy Heath-Smith has stepped down from both its own board and that of Core Design.

Comments

Eidos has today issued a somewhat terse press release announcing the departure of development director and Core Design cofounder and managing director Jeremy Heath-Smith from the boards of both companies with immediate effect. The press release goes on to state that the Eidos board would like to express its gratitude to Jeremy for his contribution to the development of the Eidos Group over the past seven years, although no official explanation for his departure has been forthcoming at this time.

Today's announcement follows a series of delays with Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, which, although it's now available, was originally scheduled for release in October last year and, by its absence, caused Eidos' share prices to fall dramatically toward the end of the company's previous financial year.
