Pandemic Studios has announced a new contest designed for artists whose talents go just beyond skin deep. The winner of the developer's "Design the Ink" competition will have his/her work featured in the upcoming PlayStation 3 game Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. But rather than ask for character designs, vehicle models, or a new idea for a weapon, Pandemic is on the hunt for some original tattoos.
The man sporting the new tattoo design will be the lead mercenary, Mattias Nilsson (pictured--above, right). In addition, the winner's art will be featured on the Mercenaries 2 Web site, and his/her name will be included in the credits of the game. Profanity, nudity, copyrighted content, and tribal designs will not be accepted. To enter the contest, head over to the official Web page.
It would behoove contestants to stray from any art that can be perceived as anti-Venezuelan. The game has been blasted by Venezuelan lawmakers for its portrayal of the country as a land in the midst of chaos and run by a tyrant.
