After years of production gamers of all sorts are celebrating Grand Theft Auto V's milestone of reaching more than $1 billion in global sales in just three days of being on the market, which is faster than any entertainment property in history. But it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbow's, many of you are still probably familiar with the response that was heard site wide as Carolyn Petit gave the game a 9/10 (a near perfect score) yet was still met with a resounding level of backlash. So much so that of course it was this week's topic for Feedbackula.
In non GTAV related news (since that seems to be anyone can talk about. The ye' olde debate of video game violence and their direct effect to the games that play them once again creeps to the surface. First we have UK prime minister discussing the "corrosive" effects that games like GTA can have on a person's behavior. Though is report lacks substance to really back up his argument. However for those of you wishing to delve into a more meaty debate when it comes to violent games, the recent article about the role of video games in mass shootings by an Ohio State professor suggests that people should stop looking for one clear answer because. well there isn't one.

Closing things out Team Social wanted to talk for a second about changes coming to our comments policy. It is apparent that something needs to happen in the community, specifically the way the comments and forum posts are handled. Since the rules change in 2011 things have been a type of roller coaster. That time is coming to an end.
