Combat Mission special edition ships

CDV Entertainment has announced that its special-edition rerelease of Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord is now shipping to retail stores. Developed by Big Time Software, Combat Mission was originally published in 2000 by Battlefront.com by means of direct online sales. CDV's new edition of the game includes enhanced terrain and environments, visually updated vehicles for the Allied and Axis forces, soldiers who speak in their native languages, and more than 150 of the best-rated user-created scenarios.

Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord takes players through historical campaigns set on World War II's Western front. Controlling the Allied or Axis forces, players engage in 3D tactical battles using a hybrid turn-based game engine that has been praised for its realism.
