Codemasters has unveiled the full list of cars that will be featured in Colin McRae Rally 3, its upcoming rally racing game. In addition to the previously revealed Ford Focus RS WRC 2002, the game will include the Citroen Saxo Kit Car, the 2CV Sahara, the Xsara Kit Car, the Fiat Punto Rally Car, the Lancia 037, the Puma Rally Car, the 1986 RS200, the MG ZR Rally Car, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 7, and the Subaru Impreza WRX (44S) and Impreza 22B Sti. The game will also feature bonus cars that can be unlocked.

Colin McRae Rally 3 will feature highly detailed and authentic models of several rally racing cars. The game will also include improvements to the car physics that will give the in-game car better overall handling, more accurate performance for different setups, and more realistic damage modeling. In addition, driver Colin McRae and codriver Nicky Grist will be fully animated.

In the game, players will compete in a series of races across eight international rallies on a variety of surfaces including tarmac, gravel, snow, dirt, and mud. Rallies will be set in Japan, Spain, Sweden, Finland, Greece, Australia, the UK, and the US. Each rally will consist of six stages, with an additional shakedown day and a super special stage.

We've posted some new screenshots in the gallery above that show off some of the cars, environments, and weather effects that players will encounter in the game. Colin McRae Rally 3 is scheduled for release in the second half of 2002. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
