Codemasters' next-gen rally game has been branded--twice. Given that Scottish racer McRae has less relevance in North America, gamemaker Codemasters decided to dub the game DIRT: Colin McRae Off-Road in the US. Europeans, on the other hand, will find the game under the label Colin McRae: DIRT. Codemasters has also confirmed that the 12-mile Pikes Peak International track in the Rocky Mountains has been included, as well as Dakar-style trucks and other 4x4 vehicles. The new game is set for simultaneous release on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in 2007, with a mobile phone version also in the works.
Colin McRae gets dirty

I have high hopes, I just hope it doesn't suck like the last McRae game. I'm looking forward to a Ralli Sport Challenge 3 game. That would be WAY better!
yeah exactly...dont post just to post your half-brained comments. i dont go into games i have no interest in a go, "how many people care about this game? I really dont". on topic now. Colin McRae is the best rallye game available imo. and at the price its always set at, its worth it tenfold. cannot wait to get my paws on this game.
If you're not interested in the game, why do you click on the link in the first place? God.. well, I'm really interested in seeing what they can come up with this time, since the series have become a bit stale over the years. The off-road aspect seems like an excellent idea. A game to follow closely.
Colin is the cleanest, "realistically fun" racing game I have ever played. I mean, racing in Colin on asphalt feels more "realistic" than PGR3. It just feels more tangible and tactical. Anyone agree?
Awesome. Those screens looks amazing, in fact, too good to be using the in-game engine. Maybe that's a video sequence? I'm also waiting in anticipation for a Richard Burns Rally 2. RBR has rediculously good physics and level design. Tanner - Japan anybody?
I'm so excited I'm gonna wet myself. Here I was just hoping Colin McRae 2005 would get backwards compatability (4 just didn't have the content), and now the best racer to ever grace this beautiful earth is getting the next gen treatment. How happy am I? So happy.
Colin Mcrea rocks ! But honestly I like the Ralli Sport Challenge series better. I wish to God Ralli Sport Challange 2 was backwards compatible!
Well I do, CM games are always top notch, always deliver solid on all fronts. are always slick and stylish to boot, and has one of the best feels of any racing game........ and When this was announced.... my first thought was wow nice no rails....or less rails.... one complaint of the series is tht it's tracks are narrow affairs with errors resultin' in yr car being repoped onto the track....... I hates tht my pretty....... with a passion.. who ever said it's too simmy ...geez pls play a real sim....ever hear of GTR? in any case, sim this is not and hot it will be, the team is just too good and too experienced to miss.
Awesome! I loved the other Colin McRaes that made it to the US. These screens look amazing, can't wait to pick it up for the PS3. On a side note, I never understood why rally racing isn't bigger here in America. I mean its got hardcore, to the hundredth of a second competition, fast cars, and crashes all in an outdoor setting. What's not to love?
Rally car drivers rock! At least they now how to turn right occasionally instead of chasing each other in a circle!
I'm waiting for RalliSport Challenge 3. RS is in a good place between arcade and simulation, while Colin Mrae is a bit too simulation for me.
Great series, I'm sure this new edition will not disapoint... however, Rallisport Challenge 2 still remains the most "fun" rally game evER!! Rallisport Challenge 3 anyone?
