Web surfers today may have noticed that something scary is making some waves. Ubisoft today announced that the official Web site for Cold Fear has gone live. The survival horror game is being developed by Darkworks, developer of spookfest Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare. Cold Fear is slated to wash up on Xboxes, PCs, and PlayStation 2s this March. The Web site, currently under construction, features a game trailer, eight screenshots, and a fan forum.

Ubisoft today also announced that musician Marilyn Manson is contributing a song to the game's soundtrack. "Use Your Fist and Not Your Mouth" is the first announced tune for inclusion in Cold Fear.

Cold Fear sees Coast Guard member Tom Hansen approaching a mysterious Russian whaling ship in the Bering Sea. After noticing that the crew seems more interested in hunting him than sea mammals, Hansen begins to suspect something evil is afoot. A violent storm adds to the game's atmosphere by pitching the screen back and forth and sending crashing waves aboard the vessel.
