Codemasters signs Flex as spokesperson for its PS2 music game

Codemasters has announced that it has signed MTV DJ Funkmaster Flex as the official cover personality for its PlayStation 2 game MTV Music Generator 2. Funkmaster Flex will provide two original tracks for the PlayStation 2 game. Flex spins on the MTV show Direct Effect, and he has worked with many of the premier contemporary hip-hop and rap artists. Additional contributors to the game's music library will be announced at a later date.

"It's exciting to be part of something where everyone can make hot studio-quality tracks," commented Funkmaster Flex.

In MTV Music Generator 2, players can customize their own music tracks by choosing from a library of hundreds of prerecorded riffs and samples. Styles of music include rock, garage, trance, house, and R&B. The game will be released in April.
