When Sony's PSP launches across Europe on September 1, UK developer Codemasters will have its two biggest franchises ready to race in Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus and TOCA Race Driver 2. The two games were originally announced last November but had not been officially dated.

Colin McRae Rally 2005 Plus brings the series' rally racing to Sony's portable with more than 30 rally cars racing through nine countries, wireless support for up to eight players, and the ability to save and send replays. McRae Rally 2005 was also designed with gaming on the go in mind, allowing players to play quick three-minute stages all the way up to full-blown, three-hour championships.

TOCA Race Driver 2 lands on the PSP sporting up to 21 cars on the track in any given race, wireless support for up to 12 players, and once again the ability to send replays to other gamers. In addition, Codemasters is porting over all the cars, championships, and circuits from the PlayStation 2 version of the game, which means gamers will get a chance to try their hand at everything from open wheel circuits right down to street racing.

Neither title has been confirmed for a North American release yet, but Codemasters has consistently brought new titles in both series across the pond for several years.
