Codemasters has announced the upcoming launch of its online game service, the Codemasters Multiplayer Network. The network is scheduled to launch when the upcoming driving game Insane is released on November 24, although the service is not specific to that game. The network is designed to be compatible with multiple gaming platforms, allowing players using the Xbox or PlayStation 2 to compete against PC users. An ongoing league system tracks player rankings and players can vote to reward star players or to ban those using unfair tactics or cheating.
