Capcom announced that Mega Man will once again be hitting the PlayStation. The original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Mega Man titles 1 through 6 will be coming out individually for the PlayStation later this year.

The new discs will include the original modes of the games as well as a "navigation mode," which will include guidance from Dr. Light for areas that players have difficulty with. The game will also offer new options, such as the ability to change game difficulty and speed. Capcom is including PocketStation support as well - players will be able to grow popular Mega Man characters into villains such as Iceman, as well as play an assortment of other minigames.

The first Mega Man game is currently slated for a Japanese release in August for 2800 yen (US$24) with other titles to follow. No US release has been announced yet.
