The unsuspecting populace of Paragon City is about to be swarming with brand-new villains. And while the metropolis' hardworking citizens may be running in terror, City of Heroes fans are rejoicing. NCsoft has announced that the fifth free update to its massively multiplayer online role-playing game is in the works and will be available for download this August.

Issue #5: Forest of Dread adds a new zone to the mix, Croatoa, which houses the villains Fir Bolg and Tuatha de Dannan. Croatoa will also have a new "task force," and there will be two new power sets added to the game: archery and sonics.

City of Heroes was released in April of 2004, and sees players creating their own superheroes in fictional Paragon City. For more on City of Heroes, read GameSpot's full review.
