Check out this beautiful Dragon Age: Inquisition screenshot

BioWare shows off an image from the upcoming role-playing game's Exalted Plains location and teases "more to come" next week.

If your Thursday is dragging and you're into fantasy games, we have something here today that should pick you up. BioWare today released a new screenshot from its upcoming role-playing game Dragon Age: Inquisition, showing off the beautiful location of Dales: Exalted Plains

BioWare shared the image through its Twitter account and teased that there's "more to come" next week. The developer didn't say which platform the image was captured on.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launches this fall for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC published by Electronic Arts. A massive info leak earlier this week revealed that the game will have five major areas and a whopping 40 possible endings, all of which are said to be significantly different.

This is a Dragon Age Inquisition screenshot? Let me see........No dragons: Check, No Inquisitors: Check, Just another generic meaningless screenshot. Moving on.

Yep it's really beautiful. EAWare is known for hyping and showing perhaps fake screenshots? .. I'll see the end product before i spend a penny this time

Dragon Age 3 is lucky Witcher 3 is delayed, they have the fall to themselves. Not saying 1 is better than the other, but being the only big Fantasy RPG is a huge upside in sales. Can't wait to see it in action, not a fan of the series but like watching my brother play it from time to time.

dat no colour, dem shitty shadows, dat shitty water 0/10

Jokes aside, I hope they focus on gameplay and incorporating good RPG elements. Plot, graphics etc. are mostly distractions, the game needs to be good at the core.

It would run like this only on pc:(

I only care about whether the gameplay is DAO or DA2 oriented.

Are they deliberately releasing screenshots of the least-epic scenes they could find??

Excluding Dragon Age 2 i love all other Bioware titles. Best RPGS on the market. With awesome stories, narratives,  and character depth. Cant wait for Dragon Age 3 and Mass Effect 4.

Dragon Age 2 was too damn repetitive and predictable for my taste. The enemy spawns would never change! Walk up path, turn left - ENEMIES! Walk up to next intersection - ENEMIES FROM BEHIND!  Every environment had the same layout and spawns. It reminded me of the first Mass Effect where all the bases and hideouts had the exact same layout . Pretty lazy design.  I hope this one changes things up.

Wooooww, never seen this kind of scenery before.  Trees!  A... a small lake?!  Mountains!

I can't wait!... to not care.

Just bring on Witcher 3.

That looks great! Just remember to downgrade the graphics on launch day guys! You know, so that consoles can run them too? But it's alright if you use those graphics in your gameplay trailers etc.

Meh...after Far Cry 3,Colonial marines etc. I have almost stopped believing in screenshots and trailers...

I just hope the game has an extremely well crafted storyline..

Meh. I go to Bethesda for my fantasy fix. Even though I didn't like ME3 -and mainly not for the same reasons as everyone else- I'm more interested in the next Mass Effect.

1: We've all seen pretty pictures like this before, always absent from the final release though.

2: 40 endings? Just like the large number of endings to Mass Effect they promised? Get ready for 40 different colors of the same ending kids.

BioWare EA deserves none of your trust until the product is on shelves and properly reviewed.

@berserker66666  although dragons were hardly part of Dragon Age.. weidly.. yeah, yeah.. it's the "dragon" age.. but there was only one in Origins, no dragons in Awakening, and only one dragon in DA2... so... it's nice that there are at least some screenshots with dragons

ChaosLordPT

@AuronAXE  how is the plot, the reason your character is doing whatever the hell he does, a distraction?
Kindgoms of Amaldur had a good core gameplay, but storyline is so generic no one can even remember what it is about.

@monktheking DA2 was obviously rushed to market by EA.  At least Inquisition had a proper development cycle.

@mr_nee  It won't scale down for me, but I don't even think the footage and screenshots we've seen are all that impressive anyway.  Just hoping the game is closer to DAO than DA2

@Karmazyn  So the graphics are the reason it has got your attention but the great and promising gameplay didn't in the first place??

Wow you're.....sad.

ChaosLordPT

@ShimmeringSword  in all fairness DA:O team managed to fit 10-15 (i think) endings in the epilogue

we can always hope...

i will agree on the EA part (just the EA)

@jesot @mr_nee  Judging from the amount of time since the last DA game it should be closer to Origins than II.
