Quentin Tarantino's upcoming The Hateful Eight has gathered together an impressive cast, and is set to hit cinemas in December. Now a new trailer has been released, that reveals more of this snowbound western tale. Check it out below:

The film stars Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth, and Michael Madsen. It tells the story of eight strangers who take shelter in a Wyoming stagecoach stopover during a heavy blizzard. As well as being shot in the rarely used 70mm film format, it also marks the first western in 40 years to be scored by legendary composer Ennio Morricone.

In an interview with Vulure in August, Tarantino spoke about what has drawn him to make another western, following 2012's Django Unchained. "There's no real film genre that better reflects the values and the problems of a given decade than the westerns made during that specific decade," he said. "I'm not trying to make Hateful Eight contemporary in any way, shape, or form. I'm just trying to tell my story. [But] it just happens to be timely right now. We're not trying to make it timely. It IS timely."

The film can be seen in cinemas from December 25 in 70mm prints, before expanding to digital theaters on January 8, 2016.
