Championship Manager confirmed for Euro Xbox

Eidos and Sports Interactive have announced that they plan to release Championship Manager for the European launch of the Microsoft Xbox. The Xbox game will be the first version of the popular soccer-management simulation series to be released on a console platform.

"Championship Manager is more than just a game--it's a way of life to the legions of wannabe coaches who devote their spare time to guiding their chosen team to the top of the table," said Sandy Duncan, vice president, Xbox Europe. "As the Xbox is the only video game console that can do justice to this amazing game, we are looking forward to introducing a whole new audience to the joys of virtual football management."

The Xbox will launch in Europe in March 2002.
