Castlevania: Lords of Shadow hitting PC this summer

2010 action game coming to PC this summer with DLC and new storylines, weapons, battles.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is coming to the PC this summer, Konami announced today. Mercury Steam's action game was originally released only for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010.

Lords of Shadow for PC will include expansions Reverie and Resurrection, as well as 1080p graphics at 60 frames per second.

The game will be available on Steam, where players can unlock achievements and make use of cloud saves.

In addition, Lords of Shadow for the PC features new storylines, weapons, skills, battles, and environments not found in the original console game. A demo of the game will be on display next week during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

For more on the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, check out GameSpot's review. Mercury Steam is currently at work on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, due out sometime later this year.

Shame that I've already beaten it on PS3 but I'll give it another go on PC. I love PC gaming.

Oh, hell yes! I loved this game so so much. I played it on the PS3. But the PS3 and 360 versions had quite a low framerate at many points. I can't wait to get the PC version and play it with improved graphics and framerate. Thank you so much Konami.

Finally! We can get the great game without the crippling framerate!

It had its share of issues but I quite enjoyed it when it was all said and done.

Yes!  Loved this and ended up having it on 360 and PS3.  Was tempted to borrow a PS3 before the new one came out so I could play it again lol.  Great news!

Missed this title and this may be what I need to pick it up. Wish they would bring back the 2D Castlevania and Metroid games though. 3D is overrated.

I'm curious to see how this sells on the PC considering the fact that Castlevania was always a console game and that PC-only gamers aren't familiar with the series..

Lets see if it sells like hot cakes or it gets pirated by the thieves as usual.

I don't think PC players are Castlevania fans....still though its my personal fav game of the year 2010 and imo the single-most underrated game of 2010...its absolutely rich in quality but I'm still wondering how the controls will feel on a keyboard..for a game like this an analog stick is more preferable.

We all know it's a bit late. But we all PC gamers promise you that you won't regret a single bit on releasing this title for PC.

Dig in everybody.....games like this are like once in a blue moon for us.

This is good to hear now let's see if enhanced versions of RDR, Dragon's Dogma, Condemned 2, The Darkness(original) and MGS: Collection come out for PC.

The way it's meant to be played.  No pun intended.

Lol, Konami killed the series when it let Mercury steam to make this game, its ShitoVania or GodofWarVania. Konami is worst than Crapcom now.

@nasser_m200 2 might come out. As the Dark Arisen has been out for a while, it seems no PC version soon for the first game or at all.

@Srdjann

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. But, yeah, they did, didn't they. ;-) I don't care. I'm just happy I will get to play it on my PC now.

@Toysoldier34 Agreed. Be aware that this does not not feel like a "Castlevania" game. I bought the Collectors Edition which had a cool hard cover manual and a soundtrack CD however I was ultimately disappointed that I spent $80 on it. My favorite part was the very beginning scene.

@wexorian they gonna see if the sales were good on PC, if the number are good then  i'm sure the sequel will come to PC too

@Navardo95even if for some reason a person never had another system in their life that had a native release of a Castlevania title, a modern PC gamer could have  played every single Castlevania game by popping the disc (or rom but that would be piracy unless you bought a cart too i guess) into their PC and running the appropriate hardware emulator (sans PS3).
Emulator aside, Castlevania 1-3 were actually released for PC's a decade ago.

@Navardo95

I totally agree. It's one of the most underrated games of the generation in my opinion. The narrative, gameplay and production values are all top-notch. It got dogged for being different than past Castlevania games, which is stupid in my opinion, since it was supposed to be a reboot.

The most important thing is, it is a good GAME.

@Navardo95 Don't worry about the control factor dude. You can always plugin a gamepad or more preferably a 360 usb gamepad

@Metronoid

Ridiculous. Lords of Shadow was the best thing to ever happen to Castlevania.

Kitanishi

@Metronoid  Oh yes, it killed the series so much that Lords of Shadow became the best selling title in the whole franchise~

@maitkarro @nasser_m200 maybe...look how long they waited before they ported this game. gives me small hope. Dragons dogma is one of my all time favorites. would love to see that game at its full potential on PC.
