According to Famitsu, Alfa Systems is developing an adventure game based on its popular Shikigami no Shiro shooting game series. Titled Shikigami no Shiro: Nanayozuki Gensoukyoku (Castle of Shikigami: Fantasia of the Seventh Night Moon), the game is slated for release in Japan this August.

Nanayozuki Gensoukyoku's storyline focuses on the daily life of characters from the Shikigami no Shiro series. Gameplay will be text-based, so users will be prompted to make decisions in between scenarios, much like in a choose-your-own-adventure book.

The game will also feature battles, a gallery, and a dictionary.

The Shikigami no Shiro series has already been released on multiple platforms, including the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. In addition to this new PS2 game, Alfa Systems is currently developing Shikigami no Shiro III, which is slated for release in Japanese arcades sometime before the end of the year. That game is based on Taito's TypeX arcade board.
