Castle Crashers launching on PC, Mac September 26

The Behemoth will launch the beat-'em-up on Steam next week; PC, Mac version comes with voice chat, achievements, and cloud-save support.

Developer The Behemoth has finally announced a PC release date for its popular beat-'em-up Castle Crashers, and revealed that the game will launch on Steam for PC and Mac on September 26.

The PC version of Castle Crashers will feature voice chat, achievements, gamepad and cloud save support, and local and online multiplayer. The game debuted on Xbox Live in 2008 to a warm critical reception, with a subsequent release following in 2010 on the PlayStation Network.

Castle Crashers is a four-player brawler that places players in the oversized helmets of knights with elemental powers, who must quest to regain a stolen idol and a kidnapped princess. For more on Castle Crashers, check out GameSpot's Xbox Live and PSN reviews.
