Castelvania: Lords of Shadow Collection dated for November

Bundle includes original Lords of Shadow alongside DLC, Mirror of Fate HD, and a demo for Lords of Shadow 2.

Konami has announced that the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection will launch in November.

The bundle includes MercurySteam's original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow alongside its Reverie and Resurrection DLC, 3DS remake Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD, and a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 demo.

Everything but the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be provided as a download code, Konami adds.

Konami has confirmed a November 8 release date in the UK, with a RRP of £29.99. The collection will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. No date for North America was specified.

Alongside the announcement, series producer Dave Cox has teased a PC version of Mirror of Fate HD, tweeting a picture of the game running on a laptop computer alongside the message "No comment :)".

MercurySteam's next game in the series, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, will be released in February 2014.

Pretty awesome!! I feel like I didn't put nearly as much time into the first two, even though I finished them. Wonder if there's aaaaaaaaaaaaany chance the studio could link Drakengard 3 to Nier, as Nier was related in really thin ways to Drakengard. That'd be badass.

Why am I seeing a bunch of comments for Drakengard 3 on a Castlevania article?

I played & beat the original Drakengard, in spite of its flaws becoming apparent early during play and remaining for the rest the game.

Imagine Dynasty Warriors if the DW graphics and landscapes were as awful as DW's voice-acting -- and you get the original Drakengard.

Even "original Drakengard" is an awkward phrase, as there was little original in its gameplay: at its core, it was just a hack-and-slash + aerial shooter (or whatever you call that genre).

Still, the storyline was enough to keep me playing -- largely because the game started on a tragic note, and I kept expecting a positive development to happen at some point.  It never really did.

It was like a dare from the developers:  "We've thrown two genres together, with neither platform offering anything particularly inspired or well-implemented.  It will be repetitive, and it will be depressing.  We dare you to actually play through and reach any of its endings."

I took them up on that dare.  It wasn't awful.  Collecting new weapons and testing their worthiness on the battlefield helped make up for the dull enemy repetition.  Plot-wise, it was somehow (darkly) entertaining to see things go from bad to worse, and worse to... worserer.  It's not seen often.

Skipped it's sequels, though.  Might pick up Drakengard 3, 'cause I feel dared to play a flower-eyed protagonist.

I played my share of Drakengard games, and from my experience, One thing is for certain: you are in for some messed up story.

I played the First Drakengard and loved it, never could find the second one, looking forward to getting this one but I'm afraid that I'll be to into playing my PS4 games to have time for this one.

I actually love the series and even have (and finished) the mobile phone title. Can't wait for it even though I would have prefered a Ps4 release for higher enemy count. Oh and those who don't know ot: It's pretty much Synasty Warriors

Can't believe it's been seven years since the last one. We need some good dragon-based games.

I hope Europe gets this. I still play the previous 2 games and i get a lot of enjoyment from them, even though Lair is better.

@pyro1245 Indeed, as well as Nier I suppose (since Nier links directly to the E(?) ending of the first Drakengard).

@juboner And what makes you think people who love playing 'niche" games like this one are weird? You must be out of your mind.

@frozengrudge @juboner look at the reviews of the first two

@juboner @frozengrudge Really? How can you tell?  IMO you sounded so serious with your first comment. And you're trying to be funny with your last sentence. I'm sorry but it's just pathetic.  You want an answer? NO.

Xristophoros

@juboner @frozengrudge I agree with juboner. I love JRPGS but the Darkengard series is nothing special. The gameplay mechanics are boring and repetitive in the same way as Dynasty Warriors. Hack and slash is the best way to describe this franchise. All it has going for it is the interesting and dark themed story. Square should have spent its time localizing FF Type 0 instead of this.

@frozengrudge @juboner I wasnt trying to be funny just making a random comment that wasnt supposed to mean much. you seem to really take offense from it

u hold grudge's against people for long?
