Online game developer Mythic Entertainment has announced a deal with Japanese game company Capcom to release Dark Age of Camelot, Mythic's online role-playing game, in Japan this summer. Under the agreement, Capcom will publish and distribute the game, while Mythic will handle online hosting and community management. The game's initial release will be in English, with all packaging and documentation translated into Japanese.

This agreement will bring the game to a gaming market with more than 5 million consumers, significantly expanding Camelot's presence in Asia. Earlier this month, the game entered the first phase of beta testing in South Korea, the largest market for online role-playing games, where it is also scheduled for release this summer.

Dark Age of Camelot is set in a medieval fantasy world. Players assume the role of a character who can grow in power through gaining experience and levels in one of three warring realms. Players can engage in a number of activities, such as exploring the gameworld, undertaking quests, fighting monsters, and taking part in realm vs. realm combat. The game was developed by Mythic and launched in North America in October. For more information about Dark Age of Camelot, take a look at our full review of the game.
