Calling All...Monsters

Godzilla may not be the only monster on the scene within the next year. Informed sources have told videogames.com that Universal's licensed holdings of classic monster thrillers such as The Creature and The Creature from the Black Lagoon may be turned into an adventure/fighting game under the working title, The Monsters.

Videogames.com has good reason to believe gamers won't be playing as the Wolfman or any such major beast from the films yourself, but rather you'll be a character who appears in this frightful world chock full of famous monsters.

Universal's development house Digital Arts is apparently working on the game - in stealth mode - for the Sony PlayStation and PC.
