Call of Duty: Ghosts teases video of an eSports mode

A short video posted by developer Inifinity Ward reveals Broadcaster Mode for PC

Call of Duty developer Inifinity Ward teased an eSports-ready Broadcaster Mode for their upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Ghosts in a Vine video earlier this morning.

The brief clip shows a shot of the PC case for Ghosts, then goes to the game screen where #CODesports rules and Broadcaster Mode are turned on. Publisher Activision is offering no further details on the mode at this time.

Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on Nov. 5 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and Wii U and it is a launch title for both Xbox One and PS4.

More useless CRAP. I don't get why anyone would A) Want to broadcast them playing or B) Watch someone else playing. It's nonsense. Put your game in and PLAY.

I love video games so much, that I plan on becoming a game designer. However, video games are not a sport. Competition? Definitely. But not a sport. They will not be a sport until VR is perfected and implemented, and people are actually running around and doing things, instead of sitting in a chair, pushing buttons, and looking at a screen.

This messy garbage still looks last/current gen, it's like it's made by 100 different studios. CoD fans must really hate themselves for not switching to Battlefield.

It's amazing to me how to this day Counter Strike is still the only true eSports fps game. The only one that truly takes skill and teamwork. I'm not a fan of GO but still play 1.6 and Source regularly. The game hasn't changed in since it came out and it's still the best FPS out there

¿E-sport? It doesn't even require a lot of skills.

Oh look more DLC Content for $65, how impressive.

That looks good but its not enough to tempt me away from titanfall

My next shooter is the one without the focus on repetitive multiplayer and regenerating health... Wolfenstein...

Can't see how any COD game can be played competitively with auto-aim and compensation lag. It's so easy to shoot someone even after they are gone from your sight.

It's a FPS catered to kids and the unskilled kind of gamer.

You can spin a turd on a plate and it's more sports than actual sports. I'd say this counts, and I don't even like CoD.

Starcraft, Dota and CS are hard as fu*k, you can't say that for COD though

If they want to be called E-Sports then they need to step up to the plate. You can't just name a game E-Sports and be done with it. Starcraft, DOTA, LoL have all put time and money into building the image of E-Sports as a real thing and this crap ruins everything they have all tried to build.

Supposedly only on PC - Whats the point of this on next gen? you can already live stream straight to Twitch or Ustream!

Holding of this until next gen if I get it at all. Titanfall is my next shooter.

Except COD isn't an E-Sport, i have seen videos of how it is played in the competitive arena and it was down right embarrassing, if they want it to be taken seriously as an E-Sport then then need to work on the players they allow to play it.

I actually liked watching competitive Black Ops 2 this year. The CoD Championships were extremely well organized and the matches were fantastic.

Does this mean we can use pro-mod again, maybe, one day ?

Before i say anything i know that COD is a overused, milked, shitty franchise. But i love it, its fun as hell. People say you're getting ' ripped off ' but fuck it if im having fun. And the Battlefield fan boys apparently fail to realize that Battlefield 4 is exactly the same as Battlefield 3. I've even seen a lot of people say " Well in your game, can you destroy environments, and fly jets freely? " Yeah, some people would think that's cool. But the way i see it, do you want COD to be exactly the same as Battlefield? Just let that be Battlefields thing then, its fine the way it is. ( Just my opinion, but Battlefield 2 was the last actually good Battlefield game, after Bad company 1 it all started going downhill ) ( P.S 2142 was AWESOME ) But back to the point, Battlefield fans, just stay over there. Haters, just stay away, you have a right to an opinion, but we don't care when you're just complete and utter assholes about it. And as a side note to the COD milk fest point, i agree in the fact that they milk the shit out of us with the DLC shit, i just dont buy them. ( Battlefield does the same thing though... )  Just wanna say before i get the angry replies, i don't hate Battlefield, i like both, i just play COD more.

regen health is the most

annoying thing about today's FPS'. Call of duty, united

offensive for PC and those before it had the system down pat. no perks or kill streaks and stupid bozo attachments. iron sights and you choose your main weapon, everything is set.

@nousername66 or...... the soldiers' level is over 9000!!!!! which makes it easier to shoot and kill.

Nightdragonist

@fireaegis Indeed, both of them are rivals. BUT these 2 are different games. COD as you know more to 1vs1. And BF is more to teamwork since there's a squad and you just can't work alone to win.

ne0182
ne0182

@holtrocks since there's only 2 competitors. with BF doing large combat and COD close combat, i don't see too much options.

@jamieNERO @Maverick6585 how do you disagree? Have you even ever played a sport? It's not the same. Get off your video games and actually do or train for  a sport. You'll see the difference. As the OP said, it is a competition, a fun one. So I respectfully wanted to let you know.

fpsamonte
fpsamonte

@pickleofdoomz lol why would I argue in the gaming community? You're obviously stuck in your own world. Let's bring this up to the general public and I'm confident they'll respectfully disagree. I'm a gamer, and played sports my whole life. Completely different.

fpsamonte
fpsamonte

@pickleofdoomz And does the majority of the world accept chess and pool as a sport? Probably not, and even with that, pool actually requires physical movement. Gaming is not a sport. Get real. Lol that's sad.

pickleofdoomz
pickleofdoomz

@fpsamonte @jamieNERO @Maverick6585 Sport does not mean it has to be physical. Chess is a sport, pool is a sport, poker is a sport. All of them require more mind and skill than muscle. Gaming is a sport.
