A teaser video for Onslaught posted to the Call of Duty Instagram account, featuring a figure wielding an axe, teases that "something menacing" is coming to Ghosts. No other official details are available.

The GameStop poster states Onslaught will include four multiplayer maps (Fog, Bayview, Containment, and Ignition), as well as Nightfall, the first of four new episodes for the game's cooperative Extinction mode. New weaponry is also included with the DLC, according to the poster.

Onslaught is the first of four DLC packs Activision included in the game's season pass, with Devastation, Invasion, and Nemesis still to come this year (together they spell O.D.I.N, the name of the space station that is central to the game's plot).
