Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 needs a 3GB install for campaign

But no install needed for multiplayer.

The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will require an approximate 3GB installation for the single-player campaign, Activision has confirmed.

Players looking to take part only in the game's multiplayer component won't need to install anything, however.

Activision community manager Dan Amrich detailed the installation in a post on his blog, confirming that the installation would be small enough to play on Xbox 360s with 4GB of flash memory.

Users who need extra space can also format up to 32GB of a USB 2.0 stick to be Xbox 360 compatible.

Amrich also pointed out that the download for the preorder bonus map Free Fall clocks in around 250MB.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will launch on November 5.

cause I know on gta 5 rock* was telling people only to install one disc and if u installed both it would lag for some reason. Totally different game and developer but still wondering on the installation of both ghosts discs

Does anybody know if it's not recommended to install both discs on the 360 for ghosts?

Most people I know only play through the single campaign for the achievements, if at all. Most people will probably just delete the file after they beat the game.

Why does this matter?? Nobody plays the singleplayer campaign in CoD games.

CoD gamers only play online.
Singleplayer gamers play games that are aimed at singleplayer gamers: singleplayer games!!

and no installation required for PS3?

Why is this news?  I've seen some demo's on PSN that are about 10 gig and no one seems to mention them.

Once again, people like me who would rather play alone get screwed over. Thanks, Infinity Ward!

This is insulting for purchasers of the core version of Xbox 360... good thing you can use a pen drive now. But hell, the usage will eat trough the life span of that memory.

that's the one thing I didn't like about the initial 360's off the line.  Hard drives are way too small at 20GB.  And when there is DLC at 1.5-3 a pop, I gotta pick and choose what to keep.

You think they could have optimized that fish AI a little more.

It's 3GB.. who cares. If you ain't got that much space by now in one way or another then there's summat wrong with you. You can just remove it once you're done with the campaign.

720p... 3GB install... I'd say Xbone is "last gen" hardware.

; )

So, without another 3gb, it's basically Titanfall?

Ugh...thats annoying. Definitely getting tired of these installations on 360. Should be one of the last games on current gen ill be getting. Gonna have to clear some space again

LAME!

Of course they kept Multiplayer easy and quick since most players never even touch Single Player Campaigns, I happen to play the game first before MultiPlayer is ever touched to get a feel and know the story. Sucks to be the back end of a good franchise when everyone pretty much only cares for MultiPlayer mode.

@Scorpion1813

you're totally wrong. lots of people don't bother much with the online stuff. especially nowadays.

CoD started life a single player FPS, long before the multiplayer became really popular with COD4.

@187umKILLAH the demos are 10 gigs cause you're downloading the whole game and can later just buy the unlock key to continue playing if you want

@gamerboy100 you get screwed over maybe cause you got an xbox 360. why is 3gb install an issue?

@santinegrete the core version of the 360 is insulting. People need to do more research before they buy, M$ plan was to nickel and dime it's customers by selling them extra accessories or they'd have to go n buy things like batteries. Ridiculous.

@FET4LJUICE Remember when games in general were innovative and fun? CoD isn't the only guilty one.

Keep your day job at the drive thru.   There is literally nothing CoD could do differently to make you cry babies happy.  You're nothing more than bitter trolls looking to vent

See what I mean!  None of you haters even bother to read the article! You see CoD or Xbox and you're on a mission to bash it.  idiot

@PayneKiller And you think I don't regret getting an Xbox 360? I started regretting it as soon as the bullshit with Microsoft began earlier this year, but I put too much money into it to switch now.

To answer your question, a 3 GB install is an issue because if you are playing off the disc, you shouldn't be forced to install the game. We should be allowed to have a choice just like every other game on the system gives us. Additionally, I am getting EXTREMELY LOW on hard drive space and I don't have the money to upgrade the hard drive (which wouldn't be as big of a problem if Microsoft didn't have a monopoly over Xbox 360 hard drives in the first place).
