Call of Duty: Ghosts double XP weekend starts November 8

Players can earn double experience points Friday-Monday for latest Call of Duty game.

The first Call of Duty: Ghosts double XP weekend will be held November 8-11, Activision has announced. Players can earn double experience points starting Friday, November 8 at 10 a.m. PDT and running through Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. PDT.

The Call of Duty: Ghosts double XP weekend event will be available on all platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. Activision said "stay tuned" for details concerning a double XP event for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

All Call of Duty: Ghosts XP, in-game stats, and achievements earned during the double XP weekend will transfer to next-generation consoles, so long as players upgrade within the same console family (i.e. Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3 to PS4).

Call of Duty: Ghosts launched today for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U. For more, check out GameSpot's review.

Do I need Doritos and Mountain Dew for this?

Does the current generation share the same account as the next generation? For example If I buy Lego Marvel Super Heroes for XBOX 360  and then buy it for XBOX ONE can I transfer my save to XBOX ONE and continue my game?

Sounds like a good trick to get people to buy the game early.

Ok So what about people who are waiting for the Next Gen, will we get a double XP weekend? otherwise all these people are going to be such high levels before us Next Gen players even get a chance!

@megakick No, there's no way to share saves/profiles between generations. I'm not sure why though, because it's totally possible from the technical side...

@RiKanKiDD @strangemk1 Stats are supposed to carry over from current gen to next gen. So people that own Ghosts for either PS3 or 360 now, and then switch to either PS4 or Xbone when they're released, will have all their stats/upgrades/XP transfer to the new console. Also, name-calling never adds to any argument.
