Speaking to Joystiq today, Beachhead Studios' Chacko Sonny revealed that the iOS iteration of Call of Duty: Elite will be released tomorrow, with an Android version debuting a week later on January 17.

"Part of the reason they're not up yet is because we learned a tremendous amount at launch about testing and scaling and making sure that things are at the level that the community really, really wants it to be at before releasing them into the wild," Sonny told Joystiq.

Both downloads are free and are part of the complimentary benefits of Call of Duty: Elite. The apps were originally set for release when Call of Duty: Elite launched in November. However, a string of launch snafus kept the apps unavailable.

With the Call of Duty: Elite iOS and Android app, gamers can customize and deploy weapon loadouts, view recent matches, track progress toward challenges, and view career statistics like kill/death ratios and other general player information.
