Cal Speed for N64 Coming

Midway says the Nintendo 64 version of California Speed is scheduled for a March '99 release. Until then, you'll have to drive the racing title in arcades nationwide.

"California Speed is a proven winner with racing fans, and we are delighted to bring another terrific coin-op game home on Nintendo 64," said Paula Cook, director of marketing for Midway Home Entertainment. "Gamers are in for a wild ride discovering the new features and hidden surprises we've included in the home console version."

The game allows racers to race on eleven roads and fixed tracks throughout the Golden State's most spectacular scenery including Yosemite National Park, the Mojave Desert, Santa Cruz, Mount Shasta, and Highway 1. Auto selections in the title include high-speed F1 racers and for all you speed freaks... a golf cart.
