Buy Candy, Get Free Week of Xbox Live

Specially marked Skittles, Starburst, and Life Savers Gummies bundled with one-week XBL Gold code, but only works if you're not an existing member.

Here's a pretty sweet deal. Now through July 31, specially marked packages of Skittles, Starburst, and Life Savers Gummies will come with a one-week Xbox Live Gold code.

All you need to do is live in the US, locate the candy, find the code inside the package, and submit the code via this special promotional website. The deal, which is non-stackable (one per user), ends July 31. Additionally, it's only valid for people who are not existing Xbox Live Gold members.

Once you redeem your Xbox Live Gold code you can make use of the various Gold-only features on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, including multiplayer gaming and the Games with Gold program that offers up free games every month.

While we're on the subject of Starburst, what is your favorite flavor/color? Mine is unquestionably pink. Let us know what yours is through the comments below!

It apparently only works once though. You can't buy two packs, use one code for one week, and then when that first week runs out use the second code for another week.

you cant really call something "free" if I have to pay money to get said item.

Microsoft must have gotten KoolAid to sponsor the idea that paying a subscription fee to use in most cases over half of the usefulness of peoples games.

Because paying to play the games you just paid for is crazy as hell to me.

You see - this is NOT how you do a deal MS - these should stack and should simply add time to existing members accounts (push the due date for the bill a week per candy).

Now I want skittles.  Like I REALLLLLLY want skittles.  I want to be that penguin.

Though I still always expect that handful of greenies to be lime and am terribly surprised.

@shinjuki @neowarrior793 "How's hating work for such?" not a real sentence/question, sweets ARE bad for your health thats a fact, you should know more then anyone that people are going to buy buckets loads of sweets just to get codes to sell them. This is making a county (known by the world to have very large people) even fatter, not really the most logical advertising campaign to do in that country.
