Having just concluded the first Trials of Osiris since the launch of The Taken King, Bungie offered some stats regarding the Destiny competitive multiplayer event, as well as some teases about what's to come in forthcoming game updates.

With this iteration of Trials adjusting matchmaking to make its ultimate goal--racking up nine wins before losing three matches--more challenging, fewer players were successful than in May. 133,444 players reached the Lighthouse (where Trials winnings are found) this time around, compared with 188,442 last time. That means just 16.25 percent of the 820,986 who took part during the event made it all the way through.

As with other parts of the game, Bungie recorded a huge amount of data from Trials that will help to influence how it'll be "refining various weapons and classes in an upcoming December update." This update will factor in both player feedback and discoveries the company makes through its data analysis.

Before that update, there's one slated for release this month. In addition to adjustments to quests and bounties that have been discussed previously, Bungie says it'll include "some other promises we have yet to make."

That includes several changes to resources. Weapon Parts, which were made less common in an early October patch, will become purchasable from Banshee-44 for Glimmer. Meanwhile, any Etheric Light you have lying around will be somehow usable with Petra. And the huge stack of Worm Spore you may have acquired while exploring the Dreadnaught will serve some purpose with Eris.

The November update is still without a release date; Bungie simply says these changes "and more are coming soon."
