Brutal Legend developer Double Fine has reacquired the publishing and distribution rights to Stacking (2011) and Costume Quest (2010) from Nordic Games after the studio purchased them during THQ's bankruptcy auction earlier this year, it was announced today.

Financial terms of the deal were not divulged.

"I am pleased that we have regained full control over Costume Quest and Stacking, following a daring and top-secret midnight raid on the Nordic Games headquarters in Vienna," Double Fine CEO Tim Schafer said in a statement.

What's more, Double Fine and Nordic Games will bring Psychonauts, Costume Quest, and Stacking to retail for PC and Mac in North America and Europe during the first half of 2014.

Psychonauts debuted in 2005 through a retail release for consoles and PC, but is currently only available on PC via digital distribution. Physical versions of Costume Quest and Stacking, on the other hand, have never been available.
