Ubisoft today announced that it has released the Software Development Kit for the PC version of Brothers in Arm: Road to Hill 30. The 14.7MB SDK, now available on GameSpot DLX, can be used by the BIA community to modify the game to their liking by adding new features and items and then sharing their adaptations online.

In addition to the ability to create new items, such as weapons and characters, modders can add entirely new missions and maps. Among the SDK's tools to make things easier for users are the MIG tool for localizing files, and UberTex, which converts multiple textures into a single one.

The game was released on the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 in March. Gamers follow the 101st Airborne Division during World War II as it battles through Europe. The squad-based strategy game was developed by Dallas, Texas-based Gearbox, the same crew that brought Halo to the PC.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 is rated M for Mature and retails for $29.99. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's full review, or download the demo from GameSpot DLX.
