The Denver Broncos will win Super Bowl 48 this weekend by defeating the Seattle Seahawks 31-28 in a overtime thriller, according to a virtual simulation of the game using Madden NFL 25, EA Sports announced today. Broncos kicker Matt Prater drills a 48-yard field goal to seal the victory.

The game was played on Xbox One using the latest roster updates. A video replay of the match-up can be seen below.

Before you shrug your shoulders or roll your eyes, remember that EA Sports' annual Madden Super Bowl simulation has accurately predicted 8 of the last 10 Lombardi Trophy winners.

According to the Super Bowl simulation, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning not only wins his second Super Bowl ring, but is named MVP of the big game on the back of a 322-yard, three touchdown performance.

The real Super Bowl 48, the one that actually counts, takes place Sunday, February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game starts at 6:30 EDT on FOX.
